Enemy Tactics Part 2 - Charles

[3] ☆  Nehemiah 4:11...

"And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them and slay them, and cause the work to cease."

■ Satan will use [INFILTRATION] ("we come in the midst of them") to cause all sorts of problems.

This is an extremely insidious tactic. It is subversion... causing the rot from within.

He will "plant" thoughts, ideas and even people within a fellowship to "pretend" to be like us and even talk like us, but all the time they are slowly chipping away and eroding our beliefs.

Infiltration is also what you "listen" to on God TV.

Infiltration is what "Christian books" you allow into your home.

□ Our solution strategy...

Be vigilant... get to know people... speak with them... ask questions... find out how they got saved... where they stand with God... what they really believe.

Personally, know the doctrines and the teachings of the Bible thoroughly.

Know what is meant by "the Faith."

Again... be firmly grounded in the Word of God... study the Word!

Always be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is saying.

Allow the gifts of the Holy Spirit to operate in church.

Pray for discernment... a word of knowledge... a word of wisdom.

Have the "watchmen" in place... the intercessors protecting the rear guard.

Nehemiah 4:13...

"Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows."

[4] ☆  Nehemiah 6:2...

"... Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying,

Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono.

But they thought to do me mischief."

■ Satan will use [INTRIGUE]... to accomplish by crafty plotting or underhanded machinations... using idle distractions.

He will use people inside and outside the church to stir up even quell contentious issues only to cause further mischief.

Satan is the master mischief maker... "Let's meet together"... "Let's talk about it"... "Let's see if we can iron out the problem"... and our adversary will use this opportunity to create further disharmony.

I've seen it happen in the Annual General Meetings of Christian schools... even at the AGM of our church one time.

He will use Christians to stir up, to distract, to say hurtful things... to bring down others.

 □ Our solution strategy... Stand firm in God!

Face the enemy and tell him as it is... take authority in Jesus Name and rebuke him.

Know who you are in Christ!

 ☆ 1 John 4:4... "Greater is He... "

☆ Isaiah 59:19... "When the enemy comes like a flood... "

☆ Isaiah 54:17... "No weapon formed against us ... "

☆ Daniel 11:32... "But the people who know their God... "

☆ 1 Samuel 30:6... "Encourage yourself in the Lord... "

☆ Romans 8:31... "If God be for us... "

 ☆ Nehemiah 6:3...

"And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing (Nehemiah knew) a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?"
